What a Race to Remember
- Grace Furtado
- After barely losing to their rivals, WRTS, in the 200 Medley Relay earlier that meet, the Wallingford Family YMCA Dolphins (WFYD) had a chance at redemption in the 200 freestyle relay. The girls were off to a good start thanks to a great lead-off from Elise and a strong leg by Sam. (3rd lane from the back) However, one of WRTS best swimmers was entering the pool for the third leg. Jessica from WFYD put up a fight, swimming a good relay split, but the WRTS swimmer was gaining on her. After narrowly out-touching Jessica, it came down to the anchor, Grace. Both WFYD and WRTS were on the edge of their seats, as Grace was able to come back from behind and win the race for the WFYD girls!

Win As A Team
- Ariel Lin
- Ariel and her other three teammates, Taylor, Lia and Sophie, won 1st place (age group 11-12) in 400y MR at 2018 SCS Winter Age Group Championship. This race demonstrated the importance of teamwork in swimming.
Nova's team was in lane #5. Ariel dived in as the anchor freestyler. With the cheering from people all around the deck, she swam her personal best split and touched the pad with almost 8 seconds of a lead with an official time of 4:12.42 which was 4.03 seconds drop!!!

First Swim Meet in the US
- Zachary Zhang
- Zachary's first swim meet in the US was the 2020 CA San Clemente March Blue/Red-LC meet after coming to the US and he competed in 5 events, winning two 1st places and one 2nd place in three of the five events (Boy 11-12). The video shows his 100m Breast race with an entry / final time 1:27.16 / 1:29.08.

What an Exciting Race!
- Nathan Wu
- The event 200Y IM at the 2019 WAG was an exciting and tough race for Nathan (13). Anything could have happened because Nathan had to swim against two strong swimmers from NOVA, Ramon Jiang (Lane 4) and Daniel Verdolaga (Lane 5). In Lane 6, Nathan came from behind taking the lead during the Breast Stroke and won the race, setting his personal best time of 1:57.08.

Broke the School Record
- ETHAN LO
- At 2017 ISB - SAS Swimvitational swim meet, Ethan won the 25 Meter Fly event (5 and under age group) in 16.61 breaking the Shanghai (Puxi) American School's record for this event.
- Ethan is a member of the SK1 Swimming Club in Shanghai.

An Exciting Win Despite Injury
- RAMON JIANG
- Having halted his swim practice for 4 months due to a broken arm injury and upon his return to the pool, Ramon (11-12) was chosen by the Southern California Swimming to be on the Pacific All Star Team and he won 1st Place in the 100 FREE at the 2019 Pacific All Star Meet.
- Ramon is a member of the Novaquatics, Irvine, CA.

The US Open Touch!
- JAMIE YEH
- In her 100Y Back race at the 2020 Harvard vs. Yale vs. Princeton swim meet, Jamie (Lane 4), a freshman at Yale, touched the wall with a time of 53.79, winning the event and qualifying for the US Open.
- Jamie is on the Yale Swim Team and was a member of the Novaquatics, Irvine, CA.

- In 2018 at a swim meet in Canada, Coco (13) swam in lane 5 and won the 2nd place in 100 Free.
